Equity Research Associate – Industrials / Machinery / E&C | Truist Full‑time role at Truist, located in New York, NY. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full‑time Location: In‑person, New York, NY Pay: $185000 yearly Team: Reports to a senior analyst Mission: Publish proprietary equity research and provide industry expertise for capital markets equity transactions to institutional clients. What You’ll Actually Do Research Publication: Create and publish proprietary equity research content for institutional buy‑side clients, including stock recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell). Capital Markets Support: Conduct due diligence and provide industry expertise for capital markets equity transactions, including involvement with C‑level corporate client relationships. Client Access & Events: Initiate C‑suite corporate access resources for institutional equity clients, such as non‑deal roadshows, conferences, field trips, bus tours, and conference calls. Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build comprehensive financial models at the industry and company level, including market, market share, revenue, EPS, and cash flow forecasts, and conduct valuation analyses. Independent Research: Conduct independent industry assessments, company‑specific research reports, formulate investment ideas, and write draft research commentary. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree with mastery of financial and accounting concepts essential for creating in‑depth financial models. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or academic study beyond a BA/BS degree. Skills: Advanced written and oral communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, strong sales skills, and required FINRA licenses including the SIE, the 7 Top Off (or Series7 for those licensed prior to October 2019), Series63, Series87, and either the Series86 or a FINRA waiver for those who have completed CFAII.
