Experienced Dental Assistant

Position: Experienced Dental Assistant Location: 1420 Avenue P Brooklyn, NY 11229 Job Type: Full-time Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-focused dental practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in dental assisting and a passion for providing excellent care. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatments Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for patient use Take X-rays and assist with diagnostic tests Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to OSHA and infection control protocols Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures Perform administrative duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, confirming visits, and processing insurance claims Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (minimum of 2 years preferred) Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain organized Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written A positive attitude and the ability to work well with a team What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience A supportive, team-oriented work environment Please submit your resume detailing your past and/or present experience.
