Database AdministratorClient is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to provide vital application and data support services to our client in Austin, Texas. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing application functionality, resolving data processing issues, and performing data corrections to ensure uninterrupted delivery of agency services. This position may involve enhancing existing applications or developing new data-centric solutions to address operational challenges.Responsibilities:Provide application support by analyzing functions, resolving data issues, and processing corrections.Perform updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing database applications.Design and implement new database solutions to resolve system issues or improve functionality.Develop shell scripts for database maintenance and automation.Maintain database performance, integrity, and security.Create and update documentation for software support and database procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system admins, and business users.Requirements:8 years of DB2 Database Experience.3 years of experience working on AIX/Unix/Linux platforms.3 years of Shell Programming/Scripting experience.Preferred Skills:5 years of DB2 Z/OS experience.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
