Principal at Immaculate Conception School, Towson, MD The Principal oversees the total educational program of the school, manages day-to-day operations, and ensures that Catholic identity is maintained in consultation with the Pastor and Superintendent. Responsibilities Hire, supervise, and terminate all academic and support staff in consultation with the Pastor and Superintendent. Foster professional growth of instructional staff and lead instructional quality improvement. Maintain academic, health, and guidance records. Develop and implement a student recruitment program. Establish procedures to ensure student and personnel safety. Provide opportunities for spiritual and intellectual growth of students and faculty. Prepare and present recommendations for the annual operations budget to the School Board. Schedule and supervise all student activities. Coordinate assistant principal and other staff duties. Develop the school calendar with activity moderators. Recommend faculty and staff salary schedules to the School Board and Pastor. Oversee teacher certification. Authorize use of school facilities by outside groups. Serve as liaison with parent and student organizations. Establish and administer personnel policies for faculty and staff. Prepare all necessary reporting. Participate with the School Board and its advisory activities. Appoint moderators for curricular and co‑curricular activities and ensure compliance with the mission. Appoint assistant principals and department chairs. Evaluate performance of department chairs and faculty in consultation with the Assistant Principal. Design and implement a fair process for teacher supervision and evaluation. Direct and implement policies for retention, promotion, graduation, suspension, and dismissal of students; consult Archdiocese on dismissals. Establish periodic review of school regulations, compliance, and enforcement. Uphold and enforce non‑discriminatory practices. Position Qualifications Practicing Catholic, able to model Christian values and participate in sacramental life. Master's degree from an accredited institution in educational administration, supervision, curriculum development, or education. Minimum five years teaching experience at the appropriate level (elementary or high school); preferred three or more years in a Catholic school. Minimum three years of leadership experience (Principal/Assistant Principal) in a Catholic school. Maryland certification as a Principal (ADMIN II). Catechist certification or ongoing faith formation. Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire students, faculty, parents, board, and clergy. Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Benefits Pay range: $95,000–$105,000 annualized.
