Chemical Sales Director

Must have background in the chemical industry. Base salary between 135k-150k with commission.Business Development ExecutiveChemical Trading | North America | RemoteOur client, a global chemical distribution company, is in need of a BusinessDevelopment Executive for their North America division.This position requires someone skilled in purchasing, selling, negotiating,building relationships, and creating profitable ventures in the chemicalmarkets.The ideal candidate will oversee relationships with customers and suppliers,identify new opportunities, and aid in expanding the company’s reachacross North America.Unlike a passive account management role, this position focuses on businessdevelopment for someone versed in chemical trading, distributor relations,pricing strategies, profit margins, supply chain dynamics, and market shifts.Responsibilities entail boosting sales and profitability in an assigned territoryin North America.Key duties include: Trading chemicals from the company's product lineup Cultivating new business relationships with customers, distributors, andsuppliers Expanding existing accounts and identifying new profitable opportunities Establishing and nurturing strong customer and supplier connections Creating pricing plans, proposals, presentations, market updates, andcorrespondences Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, pricing fluctuations, and regionalneeds Collaborating with sourcing, supply, sales coordination, marketing, andleadership teams Managing sales volume, margin rates, pipeline activity, and accountperformance Assisting in supplier/product vetting processes in line with company guidelines Resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and networkinggatherings Ensuring all business conduct complies with relevant trade laws, regulations,and company policiesThe ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of 5-8 years of successful experience in chemical sales, commoditytrading, distribution, or a related commercial sector 5-8+ years of industry experience in chemicals Strong preference for experience in selling to or working with chemical distributors Comprehensive understanding of chemicals, market trends, pricing strategies,supply chains, and downstream uses A proven track record in generating new business and expanding profitableaccounts Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities Comfort in dealing with both customers and suppliers Sharp analytical skills and adeptness in conveying market data clearly Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business applications A Bachelor's degree is required; ideally in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, orMBA
