Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift 3x12.0This is a 13-week contract position.Night shift - 3x12.0 hours per week.The Respiratory Therapist delivers high-quality patient care by providing intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport as medically prescribed. The role involves evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans while ensuring effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.ResponsibilitiesAdminister physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using various equipment, including invasive and non-invasive ventilators, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers.Conduct chest physiotherapy and suctioning for patients using various methods.Monitor oxygenation and capnography according to hospital policy.Review patient chest X-rays to identify further evaluation needs.Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and assist with related procedures.Conduct arterial punctures and assess ventilation efficiency.Utilize and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment, ensuring operational readiness.Document treatment procedures and patient responses accurately in medical records.Engage in effective communication with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficiency.Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary per BLS and ACLS guidelines.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.Knowledge of and experience with respiratory care practices and techniques.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
