Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans as prescribed by supervising Physical Therapists, which includes therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular rehabilitation, sport-specific training, and the application of various modalities as required.
• Monitor and document patients' responses to therapy, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to meet individual needs and medical statuses.
• Instruct patients in proper techniques for physical therapy activities and the use of rehabilitation equipment, ensuring their understanding and safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, securing necessary sign-offs from supervising Physical Therapists for compliance and billing purposes.
• Act as the primary liaison between patients and Physical Therapists to ensure seamless communication regarding patient progress and concerns.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols within the therapy areas, ensuring a conducive healing environment.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The predominant patient population includes individuals recovering from various conditions, such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and cancer-related therapies. With a particular focus on oncology rehabilitation, you will be actively engaged in helping patients manage the physical challenges associated with cancer treatment, thereby promoting their recovery and improving their overall well-being.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, with graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in oncology rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. Additionally, certification as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or a willingness to obtain this qualification will be considered a significant asset in providing specialized patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
