- Performing thorough assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians or operating independently as per credential regulations
- Educating patients and families on prevention methods, overall wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within the legal scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and overseeing chronic care management
- Cooperating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, holistic patient care
- Ensuring accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current NP licensure in North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to obtain them within 90 days
- Solid clinical insights complemented by an empathetic demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, families, and colleagues
