Infection Control Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse to join a community hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work history in Infection Control, particularly within the operating room and sterile processing departments, as well as familiarity with all other aspects of the hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor infection prevention and control measures throughout the hospital.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection control standards.
• Provide education and training to hospital staff on infection control practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address infection control challenges.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Proven experience as an Infection Control Nurse in a hospital setting.
• Strong background in operating room and sterile processing infection control.
• Relevant infection control certifications (e.g., CIC) preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

This position requires a weekday schedule of 5x8 hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a contract position with a duration of 13 weeks.
