MRI Technologist Join our dedicated healthcare team as an MRI Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols to ensure precise and reliable imaging results. Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety risks, including implants, devices, and contraindications, to maintain a safe environment. Explain procedures clearly to patients, providing education to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation throughout the imaging process. Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images, ensuring comfort and safety. Administer contrast media as prescribed, monitoring patients closely for any adverse reactions and responding promptly if they occur. Monitor patient condition during MRI procedures, responding effectively to emergencies and providing necessary support. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and imaging documentation within the RIS/PACS system. Ensure MRI equipment is functioning correctly, performing routine checks, and reporting any maintenance needs to ensure optimal operation. Follow infection control protocols, radiation safety guidelines (where applicable), and MRI safety standards to protect patients and staff. Requirements Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) required. Proven experience performing MRI scans in a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols, including screening procedures and emergency response. Excellent patient communication and education skills. Ability to position patients accurately and operate MRI equipment effectively. Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems for documentation and image management.
