Production Control Coordinator

The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for creating a workable production schedule to produce make-to-stock finished goods, fill on-hand customer orders, and supply the replacement parts needed to meet inventory and customer service objectives.

Location: Ardmore AL, onsite setting.

What you'll do:

• Create, review, and maintain the Master Planning Schedule and schedule equipment.
• Work with management staff to optimize capacity planning.
• Work with production and buying teams to provide the most reasonable lead time to customers.
• Issue and maintain Shop Orders in advance of customer orders.
• Verify material availability prior to initiating production.
• Meet daily with key employees to stay informed of production rates and/or issues.
• Provide input on process flow and help to increase efficiencies.
• Answer customer service requests in accordance with responsiveness goals.
• Monitor MRO spend and implement strategies for effective material management.
• Actively lead the cycle counting program, driving the department to 95% accuracy.
• Actively lead shipping and receiving functions, driving the department to 100% accuracy.
• Serve as backup for warehouse responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP system knowledge.
• Creative thinking – find alternative methods to solve problems in the production area.
• Problem solving – develop schedules that satisfy the customer as well as production goals.
• Strong organizational skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in a scheduling or production control position.
