Purchasing Associate

Your RoleThe Purchasing Associate supports inventory replenishment and purchasing operations by maintaining purchase orders, monitoring vendor performance, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate data within company systems. This role works closely with Demand Planning, Merchandising, Distribution Centers, Retail Stores, and vendors to ensure timely product availability and efficient supply chain execution.ResponsibilitiesCreate, maintain, and update purchase orders in company purchasing systems.Monitor open purchase orders and communicate with vendors regarding status, lead times, pricing, and delivery schedulesMaintain accurate SKU, vendor and purchase order dataReview and process confirmationsInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issuesIdentify and resolve EDI transmission errors between the company and vendorsCollaborate with Retail Stores, Distribution Centers, and internal departments to resolved shipment, inventory, and receiving discrepanciesAnalyze reports and system data to track order status, identify issues, and support purchasing decisionsMaintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and purchasing standards.Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracyPerform other duties as assignedQualification RequirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.Willingness and ability to learn company purchasing and inventory management systems including Commercial Ware, and JDA MMSExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalency requiredPay RateThe pay range below is provided in compliance with state/city specific laws. This pay range applies to this location.
