Contracts Acquisition Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Contracts Acquisition Specialist to join a federal program support the United State Space Force. This is an on-site job opportunity located in El Segundo, California . The Contracts Acquisition Specialist will support the Program Manager and Senior Space Force Leadership with strategy regarding acquisitions, contracting, budgeting, and execution. This is supporting a long-term program and requires an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Responsibilities for the Contracts Acquisition Specialist:

• Provide support focused around contract negotiation, price reasonableness determination, contract modifications, and contract administration.
• Provide acquisition and program management support to weapon systems development programs - draft technical evaluations, monitor and evaluate performance, and assist with pre/post award procurement actions.
• Help program office build the acquisition strategy and RFP packages.
• Develop various documentation, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide expert advice for mission objectives.

Required Qualifications for the Contracts Acquisition Specialist include:

• 10+ years of experience with Contracts and procurement focused on DOD programs
• Experience with buying in a government contracting role
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree

Compensation for the Contracts Acquisition Specialist include:

• Salary: $150,000-200,000 **Depending on experience**
• Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
