Job Overview

The Logistics Operator I is responsible for supporting cross-dock warehouse operations and ensuring the efficient movement of product throughout the facility. This position works closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, and transportation teams to unload inbound trailers, prepare outbound loads, maintain warehouse organization, and assist with overall operational needs. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in both warehouse and outdoor environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate within a cross-dock environment receiving inbound loads from Louisville, KY on 53-foot trailers.
• Wait for route drivers to return and unload trailers.
• Sort and separate pallets, shells, good product, damaged product, and outdated product into designated locations.
• Move yard tractors on company property as needed.
• Load trailers for next-day deliveries.
• Rebuild pallets when necessary.
• Assist with warehouse cleanliness, housekeeping, and general facility maintenance, including outdoor areas and around the building.
• Repack product during downtime.
• Inspect trucks and verify loads as they are being loaded.
• Support warehouse operations through various miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to lift 30 to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to transition between multiple work areas throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs and schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must obtain a CDL Class A license within 120 days of hire.
• Must begin working toward a CDL permit immediately upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack

Work Environment

Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment including high and low-temperature environment
