Medical Assistant PositionPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Lake Mary, FL (32746). This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). And a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organisation!Specific Duties:Roomed patients and prepared examination rooms for provider visits.Reviewed and scrubbed daily schedules to ensure accurate patient flow and appointment readiness.Performed EKGs and assisted with diagnostic testing as ordered by providers.Conducted Point-of-Care (POC) testing, including specimen collection and documentation of results.Scheduled patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits.Performed patient outreach to confirm appointments, communicate test results, and provide care instructions.Maintained accurate patient records and updated electronic medical records (EMR) during visits.Assisted providers with clinical procedures while ensuring patient comfort and quality care.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of preferred experiencePrevious Family Medicine or Primary Care experience.Medical Assistant Certification from any National BoardHigh school graduate or GED equivalentCurrent BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre)What Skills/Attributes Are Nice To Have, And Will Set A Candidate Apart?Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skillsKnowledge of medical terminology requiredThe ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is requiredGood communication and customer service skills requiredPreferred Education.
