Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory PositionPrimary responsibilities will be to maintain, report and reconcile inventory levels as it relates to packaging and finished goods. Will act as liaison between production, scheduling/purchasing and QA with focus on entering adjustments into ERP system.Cycle counting packaging and raw materials, to include labels, film, cartons and cases on a daily basisCommunication to scheduling/purchasing and QA managers on any cycle count findings made that may impact the schedule or productionRoot Cause Analysis on Inventory discrepanciesReconcile appropriate inventory within ERP systemResponsible for ensuring QA is aware of packaging material dispositionsResponsible for inventory levels of packaging suppliesReceive training and become a ERP system "superuser" as it relates to inventoryBack-up for case printing operationInteraction and communication with all departments as it relates to inventory issuesResponsible for making sure expense items for inventory are replenishedResponsible for making sure pick lists are completed dailyBack-up to Inventory SupervisorRequirementsMinimum:High School diplomaGood written and verbal communication skillsComputer experience in Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, etc.Requires the ability to work effectively with plant personnelA passion for understanding inventory, packaging, raw materialsExperience in resolving issues, attention to detailExperience in communicating verbally and in writing with all levels of the companyPreferred:Associates Degree or 2 year Technical College3+ years inventory control experience in a food manufacturing plantExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite and Google productsPLEX systems knowledgePhysical Demands: Lift/Carry Stand Walk Sit Handling/Fingering Reach Outward Reach Above Shoulder Push/Pull Climb Crawl Squat or Kneel BendOther Physical Requirement:While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to work in multiple climates and work environments. Proper safety equipment will be provided, but the employee may be required to work in, but not limited to, these conditions: dirt, heat, freezer, smoke/steam, noise, vibration, grease/oil, fumes, dust/shavings, and wet environments; variable temperatures of both heat and cold.
