In this outpatient PTA position, you will support physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and helping patients achieve meaningful goals. A typical day includes assisting with therapeutic exercise, balance and coordination training, functional mobility, and modalities within your licensed scope, while reinforcing patient education for home exercise programs and self-management. You can expect to work primarily with an orthopedic and sports-related caseload, including post-surgical patients, joint replacements, spine conditions, work-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal diagnoses. Depending on clinic volume, patient schedules are structured to allow you to deliver hands-on care while maintaining timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
