Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency DepartmentThe Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department, following the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. This role demands critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe delivery of patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize nursing processes to assess and address the needs of Emergency Room patients.Demonstrate critical thinking skills and apply scientific judgment in patient care.Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience levels of available staff.Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.RequirementsCurrent certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.At least 2 years of nursing experience is required, with prior travel experience preferred.Must be available for night shift rotations (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).48-hour block scheduling is expected.No on-call duties are required.This position involves responsibilities critical to the Emergency Department and the overall healthcare delivery process, ensuring both patient safety and adherence to clinical standards.
