Wound Care Nurse

The Wound Care Nurse provides specialized wound management and treatment to patients, ensuring optimal healing outcomes. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess wounds and evaluate patient conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement comprehensive wound care strategies following clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care procedures and prevention techniques.
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and relevant clinical information accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
• Maintain certification requirements and stay updated on the latest wound care practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid WOCN certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.
• Possess current RN license with relevant clinical experience in wound management.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Be adaptable to flexible scheduling, including occasional weekends.
