BUS MONITOR

BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE

Provides for the safe operation of the assigned bus and control of the passengers while transporting to and from their assigned school, center, or school-related function

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain student discipline on the bus and refer serious infractions to the driver Provide assistance to individual students as needed Comply with school, system, state and federal regulations as related to job requirements Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Participate in appropriate training, workshops and staff development activities and apply new information to the job Perform daily, routine tasks with little or no direction Accept challenges in a professional manner Relate to students, parents, and driver in a positive and professional manner Attend all required meetings or training sessions Assist driver with emergency evacuation drills as required Help driver maintain a clean bus as prescribed by local procedures Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL

High school diploma or GED Complete any training required by the school district
