Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:

Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A bachelors degree in nursing plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A masters degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
As a RN Supervisor A the incumbent will support clinical operations by:

• Providing direct supervision to assigned registered nursing staff including determining work assignments reviewing work approving leave within delegated authority monitoring performance completing required performance evaluations and supporting staff development.
• Develops maintains and monitors staffing plans to support continuous 24/7 BHCC operations.
• Provides and oversees comprehensive nursing assessment and triage of individuals presenting with behavioral health substance use co-occurring and potential medical needs.
• Obtains and evaluates vital signs health history medication information signs and symptoms risk factors and other clinical information within the registered nurse scope of practice.
• Monitors nursing documentation and service delivery for completeness timeliness quality and compliance with agency professional regulatory contractual and program requirements.
• Monitors adherence to BHCC nursing protocols observation requirements medication procedures infection-control practices emergency procedures and clinical workflows.

Position-Specific Details:
Location: This position is located at SCLHSAs Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) located in Thibodaux LA.
Appointment Type: Probationary Appointment
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
