Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray)

Location: White Plains, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Setting: Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) to join a hospital-based radiology department in White Plains, NY.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hospital-based radiography experience , current ARRT(R) registration, and authorization to practice radiologic technology in New York State.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine diagnostic X-ray and selected special procedure imaging
• Prepare, position, and educate patients before examinations
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following established protocols
• Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures as needed
• Operate and care for radiographic equipment
• Review completed images for quality and completeness
• Follow radiation safety and patient protection standards
• Perform equipment quality assurance and report equipment issues
• Use hospital systems including PACS, RIS, and electronic medical records
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, transport, and other hospital departments
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Provide appropriate care for newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Participate in department meetings, in-services, quality assurance, and continuing education
• Maintain a professional and patient-focused approach in a fast-paced hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or hospital-based radiography program
• ARRT registered in Radiography (ARRT(R))
• New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technology License OR Limited Permit upon hire
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based radiologic technology/radiography experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong patient positioning, imaging, communication, and technical skills

Additional Requirements

• IV certification must be obtained within 180 days if required
• Radiation safety education requirements must be completed as part of orientation/probation
• Must be able to respond to changing patient and department needs
• Must be comfortable working with patients across the lifespan

Schedule -

The department may require flexibility for day, evening, or overnight coverage , as well as weekends, holidays, overtime, and call when needed to maintain appropriate department coverage.

Important -

Candidates must be able to provide current certification/licensure documentation and will be required to provide two professional references during the submission process.
