Job ID: 290381 Location: Kennesaw, Georgia Full/Part Time: Part Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Job Summary Program Instructor with KSU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute develops and leads non-credit courses that are designed for adults over fifty (50) looking for an opportunity to learn in an engaging environment. Non-credit courses range from academic subjects, skills and/or activities. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, develops and conducts a comprehensive instructional course for students enrolled in the OLLI course Teaches students learning strategies Conducts teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment, manipulatives, props, and/or other learning aids appropriate for the program and/or setting Prepares and submits a course syllabus prior to the start of the class Assists with the planning, instruction and evaluation of tutoring and problem-solving activities Completes paperwork associated with classroom and project management Reports student learning and behavioral issues to the appropriate staff personnel Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Required Experience: Two (2) years of instructional experience relevant to the program content and experience with classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication and facilitation techniques. Abilities: Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills; Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite); Strong attention to detail and follow up skills; Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette. Other Information This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time.
