Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, 3-4 days per week. Would work 1 weekend of call coverage. Other days would be 8 hour inpatient rounding/surgery. Specific weeks needed are July 13 through August 3. Need the provider to cover all or at least 2 of these weeks. Ongoing needs will also be available PRN.
• Job Setting: Inpatient/Surgery Only. Ochsner Clinic Foundation, 1214 Coolidge St Lafayette, LA 70503. Trauma Level 2 facility.
• Types of Cases: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), Thoracotomies, Lobectomies, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repairs, Arterial Bypasses, Aortic Valve Replacements. Program Volume: Approximately 90 surgeries/procedures per month. Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, surgical consults, and Emergency Room call coverage.
• Credentialing: Estimated Credentialing Timeframe 120 days. Will need temp privileges so needs to have a clean background. Credentialing packet is sent once LA license is obtained at this location. Case logs will be needed for credentialing for past 24 months.

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required. Fellowship required (2)
• Licensure: LA license, will consider IMLC
