Location: Port Jefferson Station, NY and Suffolk County
Pay: $19.65 per hour
Schedule: Flexible 6–12 hour shifts | Per Diem | Weekly Pay

Affirmed Home Care is hiring experienced Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) for immediate per diem assignments in Port Jefferson Station and throughout Suffolk County.

HHA Job Responsibilities

As a Certified Home Health Aide, you will provide compassionate, reliable care based on each client's individual needs. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Providing personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance

• Assisting with mobility and transfers as appropriate

• Providing medication reminders as directed

• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

• Supporting clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life

HHA Requirements

• Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required

• At least 1 year of professional HHA experience

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Valid driver's license preferred

• Reliable transportation strongly preferred

• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care

Required Health Documentation

Applicants must have current health documentation, including:

• Physical examination completed within the past 12 months

• PPD or QuantiFERON test completed within the past year, or a chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years

• MMR immunization documentation within the last 10 years
