Cable Cribbing Personnel (Laborers)
3 Month Contract (W2)
Onsite in Norfolk, VA
Pay: $25/hr-$30/hr
Overview:
- Responsible for physical cable handling (walking cable, crib positioning, assisting with connectors).
Requirements:
- Physically capable (walking long distances, lifting 50 lbs, bending/standing for long periods).
- Background in industrial labor (e.g., shipyard, construction, rigging, heavy manufacturing).
- Familiarity with disciplined work and safety practices.
Training/Preferred Experience:
- Minimum OSHA 10-hour safety training.
- Basic understanding of crane signals.
- Preferred: maritime or telecom cable experience (large cable handling, docks, reels).
Additional Notes:
- Must follow instructions precisely due to critical nature of subsea cable handling.
- Considered “Skilled Laborers” despite no formal certification requirement.
