The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other care team members, the RN delivers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by employing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to overall departmental success.

• Regularly evaluates patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
• Delivers exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-pharmaceutical follow-up strategies, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 Year of Emergency Room Experience Required
  
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be completed within 1 year of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
