Medication Technician (Med Tech)

Part Time: 7am-3pm

Full Time: 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, and 10am-6pm.
Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our dynamic team at Clarion Nursing and Rehab in Clarion, Pennsylvania, United States. As a Medication Technician (Med Tech) , you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications to patients as prescribed by physicians, under the supervision of licensed nurses

• Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature

• Provide wound care, catheter care, and other basic care services as needed

• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming patients

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide high-quality care

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of medications administered, treatments, and patient interactions

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient care and services

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in healthcare-related field preferred

• Completion of a certified medication technician program or equivalent training

• Current certification as a Medication Technician (Med Tech) or willingness to obtain certification

• Ability to lift, bend, and move patients and equipment, as needed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
