Medication Technician (Med Tech)
Part Time: 7am-3pm
Full Time: 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, and 10am-6pm.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our dynamic team at Clarion Nursing and Rehab in Clarion, Pennsylvania, United States. As a Medication Technician (Med Tech) , you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications to patients as prescribed by physicians, under the supervision of licensed nurses
Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
Provide wound care, catheter care, and other basic care services as needed
Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide high-quality care
Maintain accurate and detailed records of medications administered, treatments, and patient interactions
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient care and services
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in healthcare-related field preferred
Completion of a certified medication technician program or equivalent training
Current certification as a Medication Technician (Med Tech) or willingness to obtain certification
Ability to lift, bend, and move patients and equipment, as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
