Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing individualized physical therapy programs to help patients achieve functional goals. This role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, implementation, education, and effective communication with patients and healthcare team members. The therapist will primarily work in an outpatient setting with some involvement in long-term care and skilled swing bed patients. A collaborative approach and adaptability to the "Friends healing Friends" philosophy are essential. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize patient progress.
• Provide patient education regarding therapy techniques and recovery processes.
• Collaborate and maintain positive working relationships with other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff.
• Adapt treatment approaches based on patient response and feedback.
• Manage therapy services primarily in an outpatient setting, with occasional care in long-term care and skilled swing bed units.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Proven ability to treat a wide range of patients and conditions.
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and implementation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience preferred.

• Experience working in outpatient, long-term care, and skilled nursing environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and openness to feedback and new approaches to patient care.

• This is a 13-week contract position with potential for extension.
• Housing is not included; a list of housing contacts will be provided.
• Approximately 95% outpatient care with 5% long-term care and skilled swing bed duties.

• Full-time position with standard outpatient department hours.
