Location: 100% onsite in Tempe, AZ. (Remote or hybrid work is not available)

Schedule: 3rd shift Sunday - Thursday from 11pm - 6am

Summary:

The Production Group Leader oversees all production related functions of a specific production area, product or department. The Group Leader supports and gives direction and guidance to production employees so they can perform work effectively and efficiently. Group Leaders help resolve internal or external issues to the department while bringing continuity between shifts and departments.

Job Duties:

\n
• Monitor all daily functions of their production area with respect to production output, customer service, daily priorities, scrap management, quality and production processes
\n
• Ensure efficiency targets are being met and constantly looking to improve them
\n
• Monitor and manage shift priorities, deliveries and setting up staff accordingly to meet deadlines
\n
• Ensure employees follow established procedures throughout manufacturing processes using required materials and tools
\n
• Perform shift change communication with peers outlining work accomplished, work load, production issues and delivery priorities
\n
• Work collaboratively with support departments and other group leaders in the attainment of company's business goals
\n
• 1st point of contact with company support groups for specific products or areas to resolve minor problems and applies the support escalation procedure for both on and off hours
\n
• Able to interpret Quality “IPC” and customer requirements to make off shift calls in the absence of QA and report issues when support arrives
\n
• Oversee the training for all employees in specific area(s) – identifying and addressing training requirements/gaps, coaching and providing continuous feedback to ensure employees understand what required skills and knowledge they need to effectively perform work
\n
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to resolve minor issues or conflict within the teams
\n
• Advocate for health and safety program – ensuring all safety guidelines are being followed, interpreting safety data sheets (SDS) for employees and making recommendations to current processes
\n
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws
\n
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

\n
• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of on the job training/experience
\n
• Previous leadership, project management or involvement in continuous improvement programs is an advantage
\n
• Analytical and strong problem solver – able to identify, escalate and effectively resolve issues using root cause analysis tools
\n
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
\n
• Able to learn and become proficient in the use of an ERP system and other databases
\n
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills - ability to clearly and concisely convey information in a timely and accurate manner
\n
• Excellent organizational skills – ability to multitask and effectively prioritize and perform tasks efficiently
\n
• Self-directed and can work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results in a fast paced environment
\n
• Available to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, nights)
\n
• Available for periodic overtime

• Regularly standing for long periods of time
