Field Project Manager

Overview U.S. West Coast (Hybrid) - Project-based travel Qualtech is looking for a Field Project Manager to lead the on-site execution of industrial fluid process systems for food and dairy facilities. This role sits where engineering meets the plant floor: installation, integration, and commissioning of process systems. What you’ll do Coordinate mechanical, piping, and equipment integration Work with automation teams during system start-up Solve real-time technical challenges on site Ensure safety, quality, and schedule performance Act as the technical bridge between field crews, engineers, and clients Why this role is different You won’t just manage schedules; you’ll bring systems to life. Exposure to: Turnkey industrial systems Mechanical + automation integration Plant commissioning Client-facing leadership Ownership of projects typically within 12–18 months. What we’re looking for Strong understanding of P&IDs and system layouts Familiarity with industrial automation environments Experience in food, beverage, or chemical processing preferred 5+ years in process systems, installation, commissioning, or plant operations Travel and location Join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex industrial systems across North America. While the main office is in Petaluma, we welcome candidates from the West Coast to apply since this is a hybrid position.
