Production Operator IThe Production Operator I will report directly to the Shift Leader and is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks to assist with operations in production.Key responsibilities include packaging 10 - 50 lb. bags of bulk product via saddle to pallet as well as filling 3000 lb. super sacks, cleaning of the warehouse and equipment as required, daily maintenance of equipment, calling specialists when more serious problems occur, tracking various data associated with production equipment, reporting any inconsistencies and using standard repair procedures, working in compliance with company safety and operating procedures, and other duties as assigned.Skills and experience required include a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication and basic math skills, ability to lift up to 50lbs., previous experience in a production/manufacturing setting, capability of working in a team and independently, and capability of following a production report while working independently.Frequency of key activities includes standing, manual dexterity, walking, hearing, sitting, running, visual, bending/stooping, talking, kneeling/squatting, driving vehicle, sense of balance, crawling, touch sensitivity, climbing, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 20 pounds, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying 21-50 pounds, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying over 50 pounds, and noise level in workplace.Opta (USA), Inc., is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers employment opportunities to all qualified persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age (40-70), national origin, sexual orientation or physical disability (except where physical or mental abilities are a bona fide occupational requirement).Opta offers a diverse compensation and benefit package that includes extended healthcare, dental, and vision benefits, health savings account, life, AD&D, and dependent life insurance, short term and long term disability insurance, employee assistance program, professional development, paid time off, 401(k) match, competitive compensation program, and on demand pay (Dayforce Wallet).
