Mechanical Engineer

Overview An employer is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX to assist with immediate hands-on evaluations of humanoid robots. The role involves advancing and redesigning the humanoid robot through enhancements of the rigging system. This position is onsite 5 days a week. Pay ranges from $80 - $90/hr. Responsibilities Perform hands-on evaluations of humanoid robots on site in Austin, TX. Assist with advancing and redesigning humanoid robots through enhancements of the rigging system. Collaborate with the team on prototyping, verification, and validation activities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally from an industrial background such as automotive or Oil & Gas, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Previous hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineer through redesign projects. Hands-on experience with prototyping, verification, and validation testing. Proficiency in mechanical analysis methods, such as stability calculations. Design work with Onshape; Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
