Make an impact in students’ lives as a School Psychologist in a vibrant district approximately 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This full-time contract opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, to May 26, 2027, supporting two schools: one elementary and one middle school in the northern part of the county. The schedule is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., covering 37.5 hours per week. While this role is primarily onsite, there’s flexibility for a 4/1 hybrid model—one remote workday each week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Department of Education Certificate
• Current Virginia Psychologist License
• Experience with school-based psychological services, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP)
• Expertise in consultation and collaboration with staff and families
• Willingness to undergo a VA Department of Social Services background check immediately upon offer
• Current TB test as required by state regulations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide consultation services within both assigned schools
• Support Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plan development
• Collaborate with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) as needed
• Assist social workers with counseling support, if necessary
• Focus solely on mental and behavioral health evaluations—academic achievement testing is handled by Educational Diagnosticians
• Serve as a valued team member, committed to fostering positive student outcomes

All necessary credentialing processes must be initiated promptly after contract acceptance.
