Job Title: Electronics Technician
Job Description
The Electronics Technician supports all phases of robotics and material handling systems to ensure full electrical functionality. This role focuses on reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring mechanical assemblies, setting up and powering junction boxes with motors and PLCs, and properly tagging and labeling electrical units. The technician also performs general repair and maintenance on shop equipment while adhering to safe and efficient manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to perform wiring and assembly tasks accurately.
- Wire mechanical assemblies and pull low-voltage wire for robotics and material handling systems.
- Set up, power up, and energize junction boxes, motors, and PLCs according to electrical prints and specifications.
- Ensure all electrical units, cables, and components are correctly tagged and labeled for clear identification.
- Install PLCs and related electronics, verifying proper operation and making adjustments as needed.
- Perform general repair and maintenance on shop equipment to support ongoing production activities.
- Inspect electrical work and assemblies to confirm compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with lead electrical technicians to understand electrical prints, schematics, and project status updates.
- Provide feedback on electrical prints and perform redlining when directed, following all processes detailed in the print package.
- Coordinate with other technicians and involved parties using strong communication skills to keep projects on track.
- Follow established safety protocols and Job Safety Analysis procedures at all times.
- Take direction from and learn under the lead electrician to continuously develop technical skills.
- Bend and mount conduit as needed to support system installations and modifications.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to meet manufacturing and project deadlines.
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate mutual respect for coworkers in all interactions.
- Perform overtime work when required to meet project schedules and operational needs.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and prints for wiring, junction box setup, and electrical assembly duties.
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage electrical work, including wiring and pulling wire.
- Ability to install and work with PLCs and related electronic components.
- Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills for robotics and material handling systems.
- Capability to perform inspection of electrical assemblies to ensure proper installation and functionality.
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate projects with other electrical technicians and stakeholders.
- Ability to bend and mount conduit as required for system installations.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and documented job safety procedures.
- Willingness to take direction, learn from lead electricians, and follow established electrical processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and support effective manufacturing practices.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing setting with a focus on robotics and material handling systems. You work on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime required when project demands increase. The environment involves hands-on work with low-voltage electrical systems, PLCs, junction boxes, and conduit, following established safety protocols and job safety analyses.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
