Registered Nurse IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

Provide specialized interventional radiology nursing care in a dynamic hospital environment, supporting multiple procedure rooms including body IR, neuro IR, CT, and US IR. Flexibly float among different rooms while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate with interventional radiology teams to prepare and manage patients for procedures.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and ensure optimal comfort during interventions.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed, following safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Assist with procedural setup, maintaining sterile fields and equipment readiness.
  
  
• 
  Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
  
  
• 
  Participate in on-call coverage, including weekend and weekly night shifts, to ensure continuous patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with current registration in the relevant state.
  
  
• 
  Proven experience in interventional radiology or related specialties preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and sterile techniques.
  
  
• 
  Ability to adapt quickly to multiple procedure environments and team collaborations.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• 
  BLS and ACLS certifications required.
