Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and Siemens scanner experience.

Details

• Work in the CT/Cat Scan department of a tertiary care regional referral hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center
• Department has 2 scanners and no inpatient beds
• Serves all ages with a primarily geriatric and adult patient population
• Common cases include ER and inpatient imaging
• Uses Siemens Definition 40-slice and Siemens Definition Flash 128-slice scanners
• EMR/PACS systems include Epic and Change (McKesson) PACS, with Medrad injectors
• Night shift schedule from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Completion of a 2-year radiology program required
• Required certification/licensure to work as a CT Tech in Pennsylvania
• Experience with advanced CT trauma protocols required
• Siemens scanner experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced department preferred

• Facility is the flagship hospital of a regional health system, offering a Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 3 Regional Intensive Care Nursery, and high-risk obstetrical care
• Performs CT imaging for ER and inpatient trauma cases
• Easygoing personality suited to a collaborative, fast-paced imaging team
• Scrubs of any color accepted; camo and denim not permitted
• All candidates must complete clear screenings prior to start
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Pennsylvania-specific clearances required, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services and FBI fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Local rate available for candidates within the radius restriction
• Candidates who worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
