CGP: Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $33.00 to $38.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable activities by processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely payments.
• Support month end and year end close processes through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Monitor cash transactions and account balances while assisting with forecasting and financial planning efforts.
• Analyze financial results and variances to provide meaningful insights for management decision making.
• Assist with audits, process improvements, and special accounting projects that support business objectives.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to accounts payable and general ledger functions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with enterprise accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Possess experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting financial reporting activities.
• Maintain the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate financial data and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions and preparing reports.
• Communicate effectively with management, vendors, and cross functional business partners.
• Bring experience with inventory accounting, cost analysis, or inventory management activities considered beneficial.
• Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a continuous improvement mindset when supporting accounting operations.
