Clinical Neuropsychologist

CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST, DIVISION OF NEUROPSYCHOLOGY, DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGY, MASS GENERAL BRIGHAM Mass General Brigham is seeking a mid-career or advanced early-career academic clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in epilepsy, particularly pre- and postsurgical neuropsychological evaluation, to join the Division of Neuropsychology within the Department of Neurology. Applicants should have a strong record in the field of clinical neuropsychology, and should have a passionate commitment to patient care, teaching, teamwork and collegiality. This position will focus on the provision of comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients with epilepsy, including pre-surgical cognitive risk assessment and post-surgical outcome evaluation. The neuropsychologist will play a central role in the multidisciplinary epilepsy surgery program, including active participation in epilepsy surgical case conferences and close collaboration with neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and psychiatry colleagues. Experience with Wada testing is strongly preferred. The clinical caseload will include a range of neurological conditions; however, the primary emphasis will be on epilepsy populations, including both surgical and non-surgical patients. There is opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of cognitive rehabilitation and supportive interventions for individuals with epilepsy, though this is not required. Academic title will be Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, determined according to candidate’s experience and scholarship in the field. A strong commitment to teaching is required as it is expected that the candidate engage in education of the Harvard community a minimum of 50 hours per year. The applicant will become an integral member of the Center for Brain Mind Medicine (CBMM), a robust clinical and research entity that encompasses programs in behavioral neurology, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, and social work.
