Meyers Truck Sales, Inc. is a growing leader in light, medium and heavy truck sales and service. We provide a full array of truck service including engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, heating and cooling diagnosis and repair. We have the latest software and computers to help diagnose electrical and sensor issues on Diesel and Gasoline powered trucks. Occasional gasoline motor diagnosis and repair.

As a Diesel Mechanic , you will be working first shift in a pleasant work environment. This is a FULL TIME position with 40 hour work weeks. Overtime is available if desired. Work week is Monday- Friday. No work on Major holidays with HOLIDAY PAY!

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• CDL license Preferred

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose problems on diesel engines utilizing our current latest available software
• Perform repairs following repair manuals and utilizing proper parts catalogs.
• Perform DOT inspections
• Proficiency in disc and drum brakes. Air and hydraulic.
• Hydraulic 5th wheel applications diagnosis and repairs.
• Heating and cooling system diagnosis and repair.
• Steering and suspension diagnosis and repairs
• Hydraulic liftgate diagnosis and repair.
• A/C diagnoisis and repairs
• In conclusion, be able to inspect a light, medium, and heavy duty truck from bumper to bumper. Diagnose, repair or replace needed parts for the truck to be sold or rented.
• Perform test procedures for various systems and components.
• Maintain accurate records regarding repairs made and estimated time of completion.
• Occasional local delivery and pickup of trucks
• Experienced candidates only! (No late or early arrivals, no last-minute calls)

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Air Conditioning Certification (Preferred)
