JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIESIF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITEPosition Summary:This position is responsible for collecting soiled linens for laundering, re-stocking laundry and hotel room supplies and delivering items to our guests.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:Collects soiled linen for laundering and transports it to the loading dockFlips and rotates mattresses during deep cleaning processWeighs and keeps records on clean and soiled linen bins coming in and out of the laundry roomResponsible for loading and unloading linen bins from the truck at the loading dockMaintains and stocks inventory of guest amenities in the storage areas, pick station and laundry roomDelivers laundry to back landing storage rooms on each hotel floorRestocks, organizes and maintains supplies for housekeeping mobile cartsMaintains and reports needed repairs for assigned equipment, electronics, guest request items, shelving and storage toolsMaintains the cleanliness and removal of trash from trash compactorSeparates recycling materials to current standards and proceduresSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Cleans, vacuums and dusts high and low areas of work stationsAssists with cleaning or stripping of hotel rooms, storage rooms, equipment rooms, laundry area, pick station, trash room, mobiles and equipmentMinimum Education and Qualifications:Must have basic math skillsMust be able to communicate effectively in EnglishCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Knowledge of Expresso paging/reporting systemUnderstanding of inventory control, which includes informing management of discrepancies and stock levelsTraining Requirements:Understanding of chemical use and safety regulatory proceduresKnowledgeable on regulatory safety practices on MSDS, OSHA regulations, Hazardous Communication and Blood borne pathogensAbility to use a hand held radio and pagerAbility to operate a forklift and pallet jackPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent reaching, lifting and bendingMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
