Job Overview Position: Financial Reports Analyst Location: 9330 US HIGHWAY 301 S, RIVERVIEW, FL 33578 Full time, Day shift (U.S.) Responsibilities Produce and distribute regular reports from the Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission rates, mortality stats, losses, costs, market shares, and various ad hoc reports. Perform integrity checks and reconciliations on data from the Financial and Decision Support systems. Attain expert knowledge of the Financial and Decision Support systems, including maintenance, data download routines, report writing/query procedures, and data elements. Educate and train hospital staff on the use of Financial and Decision Support information and tools. Apply mathematical analysis to determine the validity and reliability of statistical data. Review and calculate standards/target hours for departments based on budget information. Maintain and set up users and departments in the Visionware system, performing daily/bi-weekly data interfaces and validations. Prepare and distribute statistical reports, including labor-related and supply-related reports, to assist management in decision‑making. Update budget templates, produce budget reports, and reconcile budget data for presentation. Assist with General Ledger questions related to budget variances. Work closely with Financial Planning and Accounting staff to resolve data design problems. Qualifications Knowledge of health plans Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and operational skills Knowledge of statistical measures and concepts including linear regression Excellent verbal and written communication skills High‑level interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively and tactfully with multi‑disciplinary and diverse teams Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Excel Knowledge of SQL Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to deal with data of a sensitive and confidential nature Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to take initiative to solve issues Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English Ability to work well independently on tasks assigned Understanding of finance and accounting concepts Critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a matrix‑managed environment Interpretive analytics and problem‑solving skills Knowledge of healthcare industry Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and organized Strong desire to learn and continuously improve Knowledge of SAS (Preferred) Understanding of payer claims data (Preferred) Strong analytical and presentation skills (Preferred) Knowledge of healthcare environment (Preferred) Business Intelligence Software (Qlikview, HPM, PeopleSoft, OBIEE, Axiom, Athenahealth, SAP, Tableau, etc.) (Preferred) Microsoft Visual Basic/Access (Preferred) Education and Experience Education: Bachelor's in Business Administration, Healthcare, Project Management or related field (Required) Work Experience: 1+ related experience (Preferred) Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Pay Range $49,718.59 - $92,468.74 Background Screening Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law).
