Electrical Engineer II

Role Overview Design Engineer – Test Solutions Engineering Center (TSEC), Raytheon – responsible for supporting and driving the design, development, integration, and maintenance of electronics as part of on‑site factory support of test systems for weapon system product development and deliveries. Location & Security Requirements Location: Tucson, AZ – 1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG 805. Position is 100% on‑site. U.S. citizenship is required. The candidate must possess a current, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret). Ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. security clearance prior to start date is mandatory. Responsibilities Prioritize and handle multiple engineering tasks concurrently. Develop engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, circuit design, and analysis. Troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation on the Factory Test Platform solutions. Interact and engage with Engineering, Operations PTEs, and program personnel to support factory readiness and robustness. Support the development and derivation of requirements for hardware and electrical products. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of professional electrical engineering experience, including troubleshooting, analysis, and test. Experience with schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic. Background in factory/laboratory test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters). Experience developing Production Test Equipment in an Automation environment. Knowledge of computer architecture, optimization techniques, and common data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS‑422. Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design. Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed‑signal, and electrical system interconnect. Proficiency with integrated development environments and debugging tools for software troubleshooting. Working understanding of the TEE One Page Process. Self‑starter ability, strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server or GitHub is a plus.
