The Company is in need of an Interim Senior Privacy Counsel with a focus on Privacy, AI, and Data Protection. The successful candidate will be the enterprise subject matter authority and the legal owner of global privacy, data protection, and AI governance programs. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining frameworks that ensure the organization's use of data and artificial intelligence is compliant, business-enabling, and scalable. The Interim Senior Privacy Counsel will be responsible for translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable policies, standards, and guidance, and will have a direct impact on the effectiveness and continuous improvement of privacy and AI governance programs. Key responsibilities include leading the global privacy program, owning the interpretation of global privacy laws, and integrating privacy-by-design principles into business processes. The role also involves AI governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and commercial contracting. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Juris Doctorate degree and be an active member of the bar in the United States. A minimum of 8-12 years' legal experience, with a significant focus on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and technology law, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. and global privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, and be well-versed in emerging AI regulatory requirements. Experience in advising on AI/ML technologies, data-driven business models, and digital products, as well as a proven track record in building and operationalizing global privacy programs, is essential. The role demands a professional with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and translate legal requirements into practical solutions, particularly in the areas of product, engineering, IT, and security.
