Junior Data Scientist

Overview Dayton, OH – Radiance Technologies is seeking a talented analyst to join the Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis (MS&A) team to support AFRL, NASIC, and other IC missions. The candidate will enhance analytical efforts that use scientific methods such as mathematical modeling and statistics within the AF(S)IM Modeling & Simulation (M&S) framework by tackling complex decision-making challenges. Responsibilities Compose an analysis plan that includes what is being analyzed and how it will be analyzed. Build a wide range of models within scenarios. Perform verification on models and scenarios. Develop and execute Designs of Experiment (DOEs). Analyze experiment output and generate presentations and reports. Work closely with Government stakeholders and Radiance teammates across the country supporting AFRL, NASIC, and other IC missions. Contribute to an innovative, fast-paced analytical effort as a self-starter. Required Skills / Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related field. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance. Minimum of 1 year of analytical experience. Some experience in Python. Experience using analytical techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Desired Qualifications / Experience Experience working with statistical software such as JMP and MATLAB. Experience working with DOE software such as Dakota, PIANO, and HAL.
