Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry (travel assignment) in Rochester, NY. Start date: 06/29/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,829–$1,932 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Unit: 14-bed Med/Surg Tele overflow (ED boarders) with EPIC charting in a hospital setting. Adults and geriatric patients; orientation is 12 hours; float to ED holding/other areas may be required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct Med/Surg Tele nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on an overflow unit, including monitoring, medication administration, dysrhythmia interpretation, and basic respiratory care.
- Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement; manage IV lines and practice isolation precautions as required.
- Respond to Rapid Response and Code events; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and escalation procedures.
- Document care in EPIC; monitor census, patient safety, and discharge planning; coordinate with ED and ancillary services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and unit supports (IV team/PICC, PT, Respiratory, Interpreter services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Transportation) and float to ED holding/other areas as needed.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand for submission
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; charge experience preferred
- BLS certification; NIHSS listed as an additional certification
- Phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement competency (mandatory)
- EPIC charting experience (required)
- Ability to work on a Med/Surg Tele/ED overflow unit and to float to ED holding or other areas as needed
