Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities and to decrease aspiration risk
• Provide techniques to help residents better express themselves and better understand others
• Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services within the facility
• Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures
• Provide appropriate care and services to residents in a long-term care setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of SLP experience (Required)
• Active Texas state license or compact license (Required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility environment
• Familiarity with short-term rehabilitation programs and multi-disciplinary care teams
