Cardiovascular Icu Stepdown - Cvicu Stepdown

Multiple shifts available:

• Full-time days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Full-time nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
• Full-time weekend days, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Work location: UAB St. Vincent's East

Job Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a registered nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
