Job Opportunity – Oncology & Hematology Physician – Pennsylvania
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM clinic hours. Call rotation 1 week per month covering weekends and nights (average 0-2 calls per day). Full-time coverage needed with minimum 3 days per week accepted. Hospital consultation and emergency department coverage as needed.
Highlights:
- Outpatient-focused practice averaging 15 patients per day with approximately 2 new consults daily
- Patient population is 2/3 oncology, 1/3 hematology with typical cases including lung, breast, prostate, colorectal cancers, and select blood disorders
- On-site infusion center administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, IV iron, and injections
- Structured appointment scheduling: 20 minutes for pre-treatment/follow-ups, 40 minutes for new hematology consults, 60 minutes for new oncology consults
- Team support includes 1 nurse practitioner and 1 virtual hematologist; you will not be the sole provider on site
- American College of Surgeons accredited Cancer Institute with tumor board participation and radiation oncology coordination support
- Contract approved through March 31, 2027 with credentialing at multiple hospital locations
- Nuance dictation system in place; no bone marrow biopsies or lumbar punctures required
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology (double boarded preferred)
- Fellowship training required
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC eligibility (PA license preferred)
- Less experienced providers will be considered given experienced physicians already in practice
- Standard credentialing timeframe of 90 days
- NPDB self-query within 6 months and clean malpractice history (no settlements over $500K, no more than 3 settlements total)
