Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.Scope of PositionThis highly motivated, detail-oriented and data-driven individual will be part of the Global Trade Compliance Team and will be responsible for the daily management of the Watts’ global trade compliance program. This position is responsible for supervision of the Americas Global Trade Compliance Specialist.This position reports to the Global Trade Compliance Manager. This role is hybrid or remote, depending on candidate location.Primary Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the Americas’ portion of the Watts’ imports/exports program, to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsLiaise with local Customs officials as needed, to facilitate the movement of goodsManage the daily import/export activity for the Americas regionManage and maintain the global Watts’ product dictionary to include HTS, ADD/CVD, ECCN, materials etc.Prepare internal monthly Customs reportsAnalyze and manage the daily exceptions, to define root cause and corrective actionsReview and publish the Americas’ vendor shipping instructions and customs broker SOPManage the export program to include export controls, diversion riskParticipate in and support projects as necessaryPrepare and file any post entry corrections with applicable Customs officesReview any new Antidumping Duty and Countervailing Duty Cases (ADD/CVD) and determine if Watts’ goods are covered, maintaining all information in Tradeflow and master data spreadsheet of resultsProvide training to business units on trade topics as necessaryRequired QualificationsKnowledge of U.S. and Canada Customs’ import and export laws and regulationsKnowledge of U.S. and Canada antidumping duties, laws and regulationsExperience with Free Trade Agreements including USMCA, GSPAbility to interface with all Watts’ internal departmentsCapability to represent the company with regards to all import/export-related government agencies and external consultants when requiredAbility to coordinate and deliver project goals and objectives within a defined time period in a cross-functional environmentAbility to be proactive in recognizing and adjusting to shifting prioritiesSelf-motivated and directed, capable of operating semi-autonomouslyExcellent oral and written communication skillsP.C. experience and skills, specifically EXCEL, WORD, and OutlookBA/BS with 4 to 5 years relevant import/export operational and compliance experienceProficient in English; additional languages a plusGeneral Applicable Company CompetenciesCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparencyPunctuality and dependabilityAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditionsAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by WattsMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts’ employeesAdherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take ActionWorking ConditionsWhile performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment.
